Week 1: Building a Positive Relationship with Money
In this session, we’ll discuss financial concerns and the knowledge we wish to gain to achieve financial stability. Together, we’ll create a life plan that includes goals such as owning a home, repaying loans, and starting investments. To visualize these goals, we’ll craft a personalized vision board to inspire action.
Week 2: Reviewing Spending Habits for Better
Financial Management We’ll take a closer look at our spending habits by reviewing and documenting consumption patterns. This process will help us identify priorities, establish better spending practices, and create a monthly budget to effectively manage income, expenses, and savings.
Week 3: Understanding Insurance
Learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones from unexpected risks such as accidents or illness. This session will cover public and private insurance systems and guide you on how to adjust your plans as your lifestyle and income evolve.
Week 4: Navigating Loans and Credit
We’ll dive into the essentials of loans, credit, and the newly introduced credit score system in Japan (starting November 28, 2024). You’ll craft a realistic student loan repayment plan, learn about the risks of missed deadlines, and understand the long-term impact of credit on your financial health.
Week 5: Exploring Investments and Asset Management
Discover the various types of investments, from diversified to long-term strategies, and understand the risks and returns of each. This session will help you assess which options align best with your personal financial goals and future plans.
Week 6: Program Recap and Consumer Protection
In the final session, we’ll revisit the vision board you created in Week 1 and add insights gained throughout the program. Additionally, you’ll learn practical ways to avoid consumer issues and protect yourself in financial transactions.
